About Kelsey Kolz

Kelsey Kolz is a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate in Colorado with a heart for walking alongside individuals on their journey toward healing and restoration. She holds a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Capella University and brings a rich background of service, including 10 years in the U.S. Air Force. Now based in Durango, Colorado, Kelsey is passionate about faith, family, and the transformative power of therapy.

Kelsey’s call to counseling was ignited while serving in a ministry in Germany that supported women working in brothels. This experience shaped her deep compassion for those facing trauma and complex emotional struggles. She specializes in working with individuals experiencing PTSD, C-PTSD, depression, anxiety, ADHD, OCD, and the everyday challenges of life. Kelsey uses Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help clients understand and reshape the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.

A strong advocate for veterans and their families, Kelsey also enjoys working with adolescents and adults of all backgrounds. With a deeply rooted faith, she believes that God’s power and presence are integral to the healing process and sees therapy as a sacred space where hope can be restored.

“The Spirit God gave us does not make us afraid. His Spirit is a source of power and love and self-control.”
