How do I know which therapist is right for me?
We recommend starting with our team bios to get a sense of each counselor’s background, approach, and areas of focus. If you’re unsure, contact us directly we’d be happy to help you find the best fit.
Do you accept insurance?
Yes, several of our therapists accept Medicaid (Colorado only), UHC, and Rocky Mountain Health Plans. You can filter by insurance on our team page or reach out to confirm coverage for a specific provider.
What if I don't have insurance?
We offer private pay options for those without insurance. Our fees vary slightly based on the therapist’s credentials and service type, and we’re happy to discuss sliding scale options where available.
How do I know if I need therapy?
If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, grieving, anxious, or struggling in your relationships, therapy can provide a safe space to process and heal. You don’t need to be in crisis to seek support many clients come to deepen their self-awareness, grow spiritually, and develop healthier patterns.
Do you offer virtual or in-person sessions?
Yes. We offer both virtual (telehealth) and in-person sessions depending on your therapist’s availability and your location. We want therapy to be accessible, flexible, and comfortable for you.
What makes Trailhead different from other counseling centers?
Trailhead Christian Counseling uniquely integrates clinical excellence with biblical truth. Our therapists are trained professionals who also understand the importance of faith in the healing journey. We believe that emotional, spiritual, and relational healing go hand in hand.
How long does therapy last?
There’s no one-size-fits-all answer. Some people come for a few months, others for longer. Your therapist will work with you to evaluate your needs and help you create a timeline that supports your healing and growth.
What happens during the first session?
Your first session is all about getting to know you. We’ll talk about what’s bringing you in, go over your goals, and begin forming a plan for care. It’s also a time to ask questions and ensure you feel comfortable and aligned with your therapist.
Can I bring my faith into the session?
Absolutely. Faith is central to what we do. You’re encouraged to bring your beliefs, questions, and spiritual experiences into the room. We’ll meet you with grace and truth, allowing space for God to move through every part of your healing process.
