Counseling & Support After a DUI

At Trailhead Christian Counseling, we understand that a DUI can be a turning point filled with legal consequences, emotional weight, and uncertainty. Our DUI services offer a supportive, judgment-free space for growth, reflection, and restoration.

We are a Colorado state-certified DUI education or therapy program that meets all legal requirements for DUI Level 1 and 2 Education & Therapy. We’re here to help you meet your requirements and take your next steps with confidence.

We’re approved by the Colorado Office of Behavioral Health (OBH), and our completion certificates are accepted by Colorado courts, probation departments, and the DMV.

Our Programs

Colorado DUI Level 2 Education {24 Hours, State‑Approved}

In Colorado, Level 2 Education is a court and DMV required 24 hour program for DUI/DWAI and other impaired‑driving offenses. Based on your alcohol/drug evaluation, it may be paired with Level 2 Therapy.

Colorado DUI Level 2 Therapy {Tracks A, B, C & D}

Level 2 Therapy is an extended, state-certified counseling program for individuals at moderate to high risk of reoffense. It focuses on the deeper personal, behavioral, and emotional patterns that contribute to impaired driving.

Track Guidelines — These guidelines for impaired driving offenses are provided by the State of Colorado Behavioral Health Administration.

  • Track A: 42 hours over 21 weeks — typically first offense, BAC < 0.15

  • Track B: 52 hours over 26 weeks — typically first offense, BAC ≥ 0.15 or refusal

  • Track C: 68 hours over 34 weeks — prior offense, BAC < 0.15

  • Track D: 86 hours over 43 weeks — prior offense, BAC ≥ 0.15 or refusal

Important: The DMV may still require both Level 2 Education and Level 2 Therapy even if your court case is reduced or dismissed. Completing both is often necessary to reinstate driving privileges.

Interlock Enhancement Counseling (IEC) (also called Interlock Enhanced Therapy)

IEC can help reduce failed starts, violations, and the risk of reoffense and may shorten Level 2 Therapy by up to five weeks. Delivered fully online over 10 hours across five months (combination of group and individual sessions). Availability varies; please inquire.

Online, telehealth DUI and outpatient therapy groups are conducted face-to-face via Zoom, as required by Colorado State law. All groups are weekly, and conducted in a group setting, facilitated by a licensed clinician.
