Sarah Popejoy, BA
About Sarah Popejoy
Sarah Popejoy is an intern at Trailhead Christian Counseling, working toward a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Colorado Christian University. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a concentration in Clinical Rehabilitation and Behavioral Neuroscience, as well as a minor in Religious Studies from Indiana University and Purdue University. With a solid foundation in secular science and a medical background, she approaches therapy with both a clinical and holistic perspective.
Grounded in Messianic Jewish faith and spiritual practices, Sarah believes that healing is a unique intersection of mind, body, and spirit. She blends her knowledge of neuroscience and clinical theory with her deeply rooted faith, creativity, and artistic expression to guide individuals on their journey to healing.
In addition to her academic pursuits, Sarah is a proud mother to a 12-year-old daughter and a Persian cat named Floof. Outside of therapy, she enjoys fishing and engaging in all water-related activities, and finding peace and clarity in nature. As an artist, she embraces creative expression as an essential part of self-discovery and healing.
With a compassionate and empathetic approach, Sarah is passionate about supporting individuals and group work of all ages, through life’s challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship struggles, and identity exploration. She believes in the transformative power of therapy as a sacred space where growth and hope can flourish, integrating her knowledge, creativity, and spirituality to offer a truly personalized therapeutic experience.
“Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.”
